Willow Glen, Rose Garden, Cambrian & Almaden Watering Limits
It looks like limits on watering lawns and yards is coming to Willow Glen, Almaden Valley, Cambrian & the Rose Garden neighborhoods. The San Jose Water Co. says they expect to get permission from state authorities to impose watering limits to help conserve water. The limits imposed could also carry fines for those who violate it. The water co. wants a 15% reduction in water use that could last until the end of 2009. San Jose Water states that 50% of the water use is for outdoors so any reduction is a big savings. The proposed restrictions will be sent to all households. The Water Co. has no plans to levy fines at this time but the Cities Environmental Department may do so if the goal is not met. We must all help to conserve water until we come out of this 3 year drought. I will be doing my part how about you.
